Latin name: Leptopoecile sophiae

A tiny purplish-blue bird with a chestnut cap, a soft pink belly, and a pale brow that is not always prominent, and more often grayish than white. Lacks the pale head of Crested Tit-Warbler.

Breeds in high-altitude forests and scrub, but descends into foothills in the winter. Usually seen singly, in small flocks, or as a part of mixed flocks.

Gives high crisp-sounding notes, usually in pairs.

The White-Browed Tit-Warbler is our final variegated colorway from our upcoming The Wooly Tit Collection. It is made of blues, pinks, and purples, along with a little coral and light yellow.

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash.

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.

This yarn is PREORDER only. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the turnaround time (this time will be more accurately adjusted once the preorder window is closed)

All photographs are taken in natural light, and I try to keep the editing to a minimum, but colors may vary from monitor to monitor.

The wool used in this yarn is ethically produced from sheep that have NOT been mulesed.
