Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you source your yarn from?
Our yarn, currently, comes from sheep farms in Australia. Here is a quote from our supplier: "It is important for us to know where the fibers used in our yarns come from and to ensure they are produced and processed in ways that do not harm the animals or the environment. Our fibers are sourced from reliable material suppliers where we can establish best practice in relation to animal husbandry and the environment, as well as the best rearing and grading practices. No animals are injured to provide our fiber as we only use shorn or material that has shed naturally from the animal. The merino fiber we use is from sheep where mulesing is NOT practiced."
Do you have a Size-Inclusive Discount?
Absolutely! When ordering 4 or more full size yarn skeins, you can use code SQ15 to receive 15% off your order. The colorway does not have to be the same, so if you are planning do make something like a colorwork sweater, you can still use the discount.
How do I care for my yarn?
All of our bases include a superwash merino, which means you can put it in the washing machine on the gentlest cycle. However, we recommend making a bath with cool to lukewarm water and a wool-wash. Put your finished piece in there. After it soaks for 15 minutes (or follow your wool-wash directions) squeeze (do not twist) out as much water as you can. You can also lay your piece in a towel and roll it up to help squeeze out the water.
Either way, you will want to lay your piece flat to dry. This will be the best way to ensure a long life for your knit.
While we rinse all of our yarn thoroughly after dyeing, a small amount of bleeding may occur in the first few washes.
When will my order ship/arrive?
Ready to Ship items will be packaged and shipped out within 5 business days (but will usually ship much sooner). Preorders are dependent on the collection. Typically we give ourselves 4-6 weeks for those.
Do you take returns?
Currently, we do not. If for some reason you are unhappy with your order or you received the wrong item(s) please reach out right away and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
Do you offer wholesale?
We are open to discussing options for wholesale with you, but it is something we will only do in limited amounts because of our size.
