As the Blue Hour begins, and the sun is still well below the horizon, the sky takes on the deepest blue. It’s too rich to be black, and it feels like it has immeasurable depths.
At first glance, it makes you think that the sun will never rise again, that this impenetrable dark blue could never leave the sky. But as you look longer, you feel a gentle serene sensation come over you. This dark is not stressful nor scary. It does not hold onto terrors of the mind, only a patient held breath of the possibilities to come.
Chappuis is a lush, deep blue that is named after the Chappuis absorption, the effect that makes the sky look so blue, mostly during the time of blue hour.

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash.
For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
This yarn is PREORDER only. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the turnaround time (this time will be more accurately adjusted once the preorder window is closed)
All photographs are taken in natural light, and I try to keep the editing to a minimum, but colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
The wool used in this yarn is ethically produced from sheep that have NOT been mulesed.
