One of the aspects of our time in Versailles we’ve come to treasure is the lazy afternoons. We’ve learned that lounging is an art form. Our minds wander to nothing pressing. We collapse onto blue silk daybeds. We slouch in chairs or collapse onto the lush grasses in the shade of a tree in the garden. 

It’s also when the Queen looks the most at peace. Not only because we are relaxing, but, I think, these are the moments where she is Marie Antoinette the person. She’s able to daydream without an expectation. There’s no pressure to entertain. She is just a young woman. 

Welcome to A Summer at Versailles. An all tonals collection inspired by the palace estate and the Queen who made it infamous. A Charming Laziness is a gentle blue.

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash.  

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
